Why this matters
Fishing boats, leisure craft, divers, wind surfers and people on Redcar Rocks share this coastline. From our lookout we keep a visual watch and liaise with Humber Coastguard when something does not look right.
We are not lifeguards. We are trained volunteers — logging traffic, monitoring radio and radar, and helping the Coastguard hear about potential incidents early.

What we do
An independent coastal surveillance station under HM Coastguard authority and MCA criteria.

Visual watch
Monitoring craft, divers, foreshore users and people on the rocks along our stretch of coast.

Radio & radar
VHF monitoring, radar surveillance, weather recording and local marine traffic logging.

Liaison
Working with Humber Coastguard, emergency services and local partners on potential incidents.
